📏 How to Measure Your Feet
Measuring your feet only takes a few minutes and can make choosing between sizes much easier.
Measure while wearing the type of socks you normally use for table tennis.
Stand naturally and measure from the back of your heel to your longest toe.
Feet can differ slightly in size, so use the measurement from your larger foot.
Step-by-Step
- Measure later in the day when your feet may be slightly larger.
- Put on the socks you normally play in.
- Place your foot on a sheet of paper on a hard floor.
- Stand with your weight naturally on your foot.
- Mark the back of the heel and the end of the longest toe.
- Measure the distance between the two marks in centimetres.
- Repeat for your other foot and use the larger measurement.
Table Tennis Fit Tips
- Your toes should have some room without the shoe feeling loose.
- Your heel should feel secure during quick changes of direction.
- Make sure the shoe isn't uncomfortably tight across the widest part of your foot.
- Consider that feet can expand slightly during longer playing sessions.
- Check any model-specific sizing advice shown on the product page.

❓ Table Tennis Shoe Sizing FAQ
Quick answers to some of the most common questions about table tennis shoe fit and sizing.
Why do table tennis shoe sizes vary between brands?
Manufacturers use different lasts, shapes and sizing systems, so the same labelled size can fit differently between brands and even between models. Use the conversion chart, your foot measurement and any product-specific sizing information together.
Should table tennis shoes fit tight or loose?
They should feel secure without being uncomfortably tight. Your heel should remain stable during quick movement, while your toes need enough room to move without your foot sliding around inside the shoe.
What should I do if I'm between two sizes?
Compare your foot length with the chart and check the relevant brand guidance. Foot width and your preferred fit also matter. For brands that tend to fit smaller, the larger option may be more suitable.
Do STIGA and Lefus shoes run small?
Our existing sizing guidance indicates that STIGA and Lefus can run small, and going up one size is often recommended. Check the individual shoe listing as well because fit can vary by model.
Are all shoe sizes available in every model?
No. Size ranges vary between models and manufacturers. Some shoes may only be produced up to EU 45, while others may start at a larger or smaller size. The product page shows the sizes available for that particular model.
Do I really need table tennis-specific shoes?
Dedicated table tennis shoes are designed around the quick footwork and lateral changes of direction used in the sport. Features vary by model, but players commonly look for good court grip, a relatively low profile, flexibility and secure lateral support.
