Solo stroke training • four mounting options
Huieson Professional Fixed Training Robot
Groove repeatable forehand and backhand strokes without a training partner. This compact fixed rebound trainer holds a special training ball on a responsive shaft, returning after contact so you can work on timing, touch, bat angle and a consistent contact point.

This is a fixed stroke trainer, not an automatic ball-feeding robot. Because the ball remains in a predictable position and rebounds quickly, you can isolate the stroke and repeat it at your own pace before adding more speed, spin or footwork.
Why Train with a Fixed Rebound Ball?
Build repeatable techniqueRepeat the same swing path and contact point to develop more reliable forehand and backhand mechanics.
Improve timing and contactThe fixed target makes it easier to see whether you are meeting the ball cleanly and in front of the body.
Explore spin and bat angleChange the brushing action, racket angle and contact direction to understand how your stroke affects rotation and control.
Practise independentlyUseful for short, focused repetitions at home, in a club or during a coached session without continuous ball collection.
How It Works
The training ball is connected to a shaft with a buffer-spring rebound action. Strike the ball with a controlled table tennis stroke and it moves away, then returns ready for the next repetition. The stable base keeps your target in a consistent position while you concentrate on technique.
Skills you can train
-
Forehand drive and forehand topspin: practise the forward-and-upward swing, body rotation and recovery.
-
Backhand drive and block: refine a compact action, stable bat angle and clean contact.
-
Contact-point awareness: learn to strike the ball at a repeatable height and distance from the body.
-
Footwork and recovery: add side-to-side or in-and-out movement between controlled repetitions.
Choose the Right Version
Straight Sucker TypeA straight arm with suction-cup base. Position it on a suitable smooth, clean table surface for central or end-of-table practice.
Straight Clamp TypeA straight arm with a secure table-edge clamp. Ideal when you want a fixed mounting point close to the table edge.
Goose Sucker TypeA flexible goose-style arm with suction-cup base, giving more freedom to adjust the ball angle and position.
Goose Clamp TypeA flexible goose-style arm with table-edge clamp for adjustable training angles and a secure edge-mounted setup.
Suction or clamp? Choose a suction base when you want to move the trainer around a compatible smooth tabletop. Choose a clamp when you prefer to mount it on the table edge. Choose a flexible goose arm when extra angle and positioning adjustment is important.
How to Set Up and Use It
-
Choose a mounting point. For a suction model, wipe the table and suction base clean and place it on a smooth, flat area. For a clamp model, fit it to a stable table edge.
-
Secure the base. Engage the suction lever or tighten the clamp gently until stable. Do not overtighten.
-
Set the ball position. Adjust the arm and angle where applicable so the ball sits at a comfortable contact height.
-
Begin slowly. Use compact, controlled strokes and allow the ball to return before the next hit.
-
Progress gradually. Add topspin, pace, recovery movement or alternating forehand and backhand repetitions once contact is consistent.
Suggested Training Drills
-
50 clean contacts: count controlled hits rather than speed; reset if your technique breaks down.
-
Forehand topspin groove: start low, rotate through the shot and brush forward and upward before recovering to ready position.
-
Backhand compact drive: keep the elbow stable and work on a short forward action with a consistent bat angle.
-
One hit, one recovery: return to a balanced ready position after every contact.
-
Footwork reset: take one side step or an in-and-out step between strokes, then regain balance before hitting.
Who Is It For?
-
Beginners learning basic forehand and backhand mechanics.
-
Improving club players who want extra repetition away from regular practice sessions.
-
Coaches teaching swing path, contact position, recovery and controlled footwork.
-
Home players who want a compact solo training aid rather than a powered ball-feeding machine.

Training & Care Tips
- Check that the base is secure before every session and stop if it begins to move.
- Use controlled table tennis strokes; this trainer is designed for technique practice, not maximum-force hitting.
- Keep the suction base and mounting surface clean and dry for the strongest hold.
- Confirm the clamp opening and your table thickness before ordering a clamp version.
- Start with short practice blocks and prioritise balance, relaxed movement and clean technique.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an automatic ball-feeding robot?
No. It is a fixed rebound stroke trainer. You strike the attached training ball and the spring-and-shaft system returns it for another repetition; it does not fire loose balls across the table.
Can I practise forehand topspin with it?
Yes. It can help you repeat the forehand topspin swing path, brushing contact, body rotation and recovery. Begin with controlled contact before increasing racket speed.
Can it be used for backhand practice?
Yes. Reposition the trainer to suit your stance and use it for compact backhand drives, blocks and contact-point drills.
Which version is best for beginners?
All four versions use the same fixed-target training principle. A straight version is a simple choice for basic repetition; a flexible goose version gives extra adjustment. Select suction or clamp according to where you want to mount it.
Will the suction base work on every surface?
It works best on a smooth, flat, clean and dry surface. Texture, dust or uneven finishes can reduce suction, so check the hold before use.
Will the clamp fit my table?
The maximum clamp opening is approximately 5.5 cm. Measure the mounting edge of your table before ordering; many standard table tennis tops are around 4 cm thick.
Can I use it for footwork training?
Yes. Add a recovery step after each stroke, or combine the trainer with side-to-side and in-and-out movement. Keep the pace controlled so technique remains stable.
Does it need power or batteries?
No. The trainer uses a mechanical rebound action and requires no electricity or batteries.
